Admission Policy

  • All applications must be submitted through the LUMS Online Admission Application system on or before the stipulated deadline. Late applications will not be considered for admission.

  • Applicants must carefully review the admission criteria on the LUMS website and submit their application only if they meet the minimum eligibility requirements for their chosen programme. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for admission evaluation, even if the applicant takes the admission test and/or fulfils other necessary requirements. Please note that the application processing fee and test fee are non-refundable.

  • All information submitted through the online application should be supported by the provision of copies of relevant documents, transcripts, and certificates. Any information will not be considered valid if official proof/document is missing. Moreover, documents submitted at the time of admission will not be returned under any circumstances.

  • The university reserves the right to select the most suitable candidates for its Degree Programmes. Admission and Financial Aid decisions taken by the University are final.

  • In addition to the condition(s) stipulated by LUMS in the admission offer letter, all admitted students MUST meet the conditions prescribed by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.

  • All applicants to LUMS, regardless of citizenship, are held to the same admission standards and evaluated on the same criteria.

  • LUMS strives to provide equal access to qualified applicants from all segments of society. Applicants with disabilities can request reasonable accommodations during the admissions process. All such requests must be supported by documentary evidence, including details of previous accommodations obtained during the academic career. Please contact the Admissions Office for further details.

  • Applicants should be aware that the presentation of incorrect/false/forged/fraudulent information or document(s) in connection with admissions and financial aid to the LUMS Degree Programme is a criminal offence, and the University reserves the right to initiate appropriate action. Action may include, but is not limited to, cancellation of an application for admission/financial aid, an offer of admission, or enrollment.

  • It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to provide complete, correct, and timely information to the Admissions and Financial Aid Office. Applications without complete and correct information or documents will not be processed.

  • Currently active or enrolled (admitted) LUMS students are not eligible to reapply for admission to the same degree programme.

  • The University reserves the right to change admissions dates and deadlines. Please stay connected to the Academic Calendar and the Online Admissions Portal to remain informed of any updates or changes.

  •  LUMS is committed to an environment grounded in mutual respect, fairness, integrity, academic ethics, and merit. We encourage all applicants and students, as well as their parents, guardians, or others acting on their behalf, to engage with members of the LUMS community, including university staff and faculty, in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner across all verbal, written, and behavioural interactions.

All communication with the university is expected to reflect these shared values. Conduct that does not align with these expectations, such as disrespectful behaviour, harassment, intimidation, bullying, inappropriate conduct, or efforts to improperly influence the admissions or financial need assessment process, is not acceptable.

LUMS remains dedicated to providing a safe, fair, respectful, and merit-based environment for everyone.
