As an institution committed to excellence and innovation in learning, teaching, and research, LUMS is responding to the pandemic enforced closure of our campus by moving its summer terms online. Using cutting edge technology and innovative pedagogical techniques, our online courses will offer the same learning outcomes and credits as our regular courses.

In line with our commitment to extending educational opportunities to diverse learning communities, we are opening our summer courses to college going and non-traditional students across Pakistan and abroad. You will be receiving an assessment based transcript and certificate for your course from LUMS.

This is an unparalleled opportunity to learn from the finest teachers and researchers in the region. You will be learning alongside LUMS students in a professionally and intellectually rewarding learning environment

Who is it for?

Incoming college students

  - Graduating high school seniors who wish to immerse themselves in an intensive learning environment before starting university this fall.

Currently enrolled university students

  - Any student currently enrolled in an HEC recognized university in Pakistan or any recognized international university.

Non-Traditional Students

  - Individuals from all walks of life looking to take a course for professional and personal development.

Scholarships

In line with our vision of increasing accessibility and opportunity, we are offering 200 merit-based scholarships to our external students in each of our two summer terms. These scholarships will offer a flat 50% reduction in tuition fee.

A four-credit hour course, for example, will have 50 contact hours over a four-week term. These will be in addition to the time required for class preparation and assignments.

Note:

Through an amendment in the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 by Finance Act 2013, advance tax (under section 236 I) shall be collected @ 5% on the entire amount of fee (if Student Payable exceeds Rs. 200,000/- per annum excluding the amount refundable).

Summer Term’s Fee is non-refundable.
